A December Week- Reflections

Whew.....It's been a CRAZy week! It started with an AMAZING Alaska PK/MK retreat. Just under 60 students came to enjoy this FIRST, but annual gathering.

Thursday night - Prime Rib dinner and amazing fixings

Superintendent Bill and Dori Welch spoke // Movie/game/junkfood all nighter

Friday - Late brunch // Pastor Kent spoke // FREE TIME to chill and do whatever // bacon burger lunch // great service with adult PK's Ben Rose and Ron Pratt speaking.

Saturday - Amazing breakfast // said our good-byes!

Mark, my girls, and I loved every minute of it. Can't wait till next year.

It helped me reflect on the amazing opportunities my daughters will have with their parents being in ministry. Examples: excelling in speaking (since they hear it all the time), excelling in leadership (since their parents are in it), excelling in dreaming BIG, and so much more.

My prayer is that these 60 kids and my very own daughters will see the blessing and opportunity they have every Sunday AM, PM, Wednesday night, choir rehearsals, revival services, etc.... to excel in areas of their lives. This is what will be the foundation that makes them great and powerful women of God. Whether they grow to be doctors, lawyers, missionaries, teachers, etc...they'll always point back to their "younger years" and excelling in the life God gave them as a PK.

The rest of the week was great, but busy. Great highlights throughout, but I'll leave with this last one.

The VIBE adult leader's Christmas Party ~ What a great time with great people. Mark cooked an AMAZING prime rib!!! Outstanding! Add in rosemary potatoes, salad, cheesecake, berry pastries, we all gained a few pounds.

Passed out the gag gifts and the most hideous one won! A box of "preparation H" portable wipes. O....K?

Played a little TABOO (guys vs. girls) and well, let's just say it continued on it's tradition of "Yelling." Mainly between Mark and I. FUn times.

What an amazing group of people. We're so thankful for their love for God, Vibe genChurch, and each other. What a great team!!
