WE all have the same amount of hours in a day...right? Let me ask you something...do you finish ALL that you accomplished to do? Cuz I'm just being honest here....I hardly do. I'm currently in maternity leave and going in the office here and there to still prepare for Weekend Edition (S.School) and the VIBE (Student Youth Minisitries), my husband is out of town for like 8 days, I have a newborn baby and 3 other kids that need constant attention and I have to have some ME time in between the other worlds. I sometimes just don't finish it all. Like right now, I'm wondering why am I taking a good 20-30 minutes to facebook and blog (I write another blog mind you for the VIBE student ministries too).
Time will slip through our fingers like an iced caramel machiatto slips through my mouth! It really will. But if anyone knows me (and knows me well), they know I SAVOR my machiatto for hours upon hours. As a matter of fact, Mark (hubby) will buy one for me in the morning and he'll see the same one when he gets home from work and ask, "Did you go to Starbucks again." NOPE....it's the same one from the morning.
This time in my life is sooooo VALUABLE. I've realized that the last 3-4 weeks. Maybe it's because I just had my last baby and I won't ever be able to experience the joys of pregnancy and labor (not SO joyous) again. I want to capture everything that is happening in this amazing time of the "Mark and Heidi" show. My kids are growing fast. Mark's getting old fast (Just kidding, however he does have more gray hair), and I'm of course getting older fast too. What are the most important things in my life. Here they are in a nutshell:
1. My time, love, and growth with Jesus
2. My time and ever growing love for Mark
3. My time with my precious 4 daughters
4. My time (even if it is over the phone, skype, and pix) with my parents, brothers, cousins, etc
5. My journaling, picture taking, and video taking of special times of my family's life
6. My job - Reaching and training people to live a life for GOD. Life's so much better with Him in it!
7. Being organized and keeping a sane/clean household
8. Being the best example possible for my daughters in how to obtain a healthy family household and serve their husbands
9. Helping Mark with what he needs for his Job
10. Serving my Senior pastors and making them look like they did the MOST AMAZING thing in hiring me. (they're so amazing!)
11. Spending time with my amazing parents. One of GOd's greatest gifts to me and my brothers.
12. Being a woman of GOd's word. KNowing it and living it to the Fullest
13. Influencing other mom's, wives, and young women with my love for life
14. Being healthy and living a LIFESTYLE of taking care of my body (inside and out)
15. Being who God called me to be and polishing those skills with his power, grace, and anointing
I read this verse today and It's so fits this life of mine today and def for the MANY years to come:
1 Corinithains 9:8
"God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work!"
That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
