Yes, this is the truly the new home we're be living in. It's up on a hillside and the street is called, "Wilderness Drive!" Crazy.....huh?? God is so marvelous. We'll be packing and moving 7 years of living in Vegas and moving to an unfamiliar land. But isn't that how it all starts? I think about the wives who had to travel with their mighty husbands in the Bible. My goodness....I wonder if they ever nagged about the packing. I wonder if they were 6 months pregnant like I am and wishing they could snap their fingers and "bibity, bobity, boo" and it all be done. I know one wife in particular that didn't want to move (even when an messenger from GOD told her husband to).
Well, we all honor this lady everytime we cook and use
SALT!
There's so much to do to bring closure to 7 wonderful years. Packing, saying goodbyes, PACKING...did I already mention that? You can tell what's on my mind. But in all the CRAZINESS of this transition, anticipation awaits me on the other side. A new life in ministry and loving/serving people in the great state of Alaska. There's truly not a more beautiful place on earth. The people and scenery.
I was honored to meet so many wonderful people at District Council held in Fairbanks, AK. WOW!!! So many people shaking things for the kingdom. I love how everyone was honored. I love how everyone was focused on reaching the lost and those who have NEVER heard about Jesus in the many villages of Alaska. At first I thought God was being funny...maybe even a little mysterious calling us to Alaska. But, I have a new word for what he's doing....STRATEGIC! My family will never be the same and neither will those we encounter. Can you tell I'm excited??

But there is the factor of leaving wonderful people/friends here in Vegas. God will have to help me with my emotions in this area. I pray that everyone we have met here has been impacted with our love for people and God. I pray these friendships will last a lifetime and that distance won't be a factor. Thanks to technology....we're just a "facebook, twitter, myspace, blog," message away. Oh yeah....and a phonecall.
