Well, we're officially one week away from heading out to Alaska. I can't believe it! Mark will be here Wednesday to do a lot of packing while I finish up my last week at my job...ICA. Yesterday was a wonderful day. The sun was shining early in the morning...birds were singing...and friends gathered together. My daughter Braxtyn was shocked from a SURPRISE FAREWELL PARTY that her class thru for her. She thought she was having a playdate with a friend. However, that friend had arranged for the whole class to come to say Goodbye and have a great time of fellowship. My daughter is loved not only by her parents...but also by good friends.
We then headed to another FAREWELL party and had a great time there too. I'm so thankful for all God has given my family and I in our 7 years here in Vegas. Braxtyn found an OLD cd from her 1st grade class. We played it and remembered all those old songs she would sing over an over and over again (back when she was in 1st). I got a little teary eyed thinking "what a great 7 years we've had here and I look forward to another 7 plus in Alaska."
It's MOTHER'S DAY and today will not be focused on me at all. I'll call it MAID'S DAY. That'll seem to fit today much better. BUt, I'm no fool! Being 6 months prego, I'll be sure to take the necessary Starbucks breaks when need be.
The next time I write on here, I'll be heading to Alaska and looking forward to the wonderful new life the Lord has awaiting for us.
