I wok up this morning with the beautiful sound of ..................my oldest daughter giggling and playing with a friend who slept over. Yes, glorious sound at 6am!! Of course, my other 2 pipe in with the harmonizing tones of, "Mom, we're hungry." Sleeping in is non-existent in my home.
But, as I woke up to mu usualy routine (using the potty), I looked out my window and noticed a GORGEOUS DAY. Unbelievable. And I pondered on how God can take the simplest things, things that are a "no biggie" to him (like a gorgeous sunny day in Vegas) and put a huge smile on my face. That's where I pipe in and say, "God is so good."
Mark in North dakota preaching a Men's retreat. He's been so busy lately and I can't wait till we're all in Alaska together as a family. The business of life goes on for me with raising and loving 3 girls, a house to clean each day, meals to cook, a fulltime teaching job, a chaplain, family and friends to keep the communication rolling, and finding sometime for myself. Oh, not to mention I'm expecting my 4th baby in August. Times can get hard. BUt, I'm a simple folk. God doesn't need to do much for me to get a smile on my face through the business of my life.
Just a simple "look out my bathroom window" does it for me.
