School has started again.....and so does a New Year

Surprisingly, My kids were up and ready to go to school WAY before we usually go. I know they said they weren't too excited about break being over, but HELLO! For them to get all groomed, backpacks ready to go, and have eaten breakfast almost an hour before we usually leave...I'd say they were SO READY. As I was. It's been great to see all my colleagues and friends. They're so amazing. I work at the greatest place imaginable.

I'm driving home for lunch and I hear a great idea on the SOS radio (Christian station). When you take down the Christmas decor in your home, leave just ONE ornament somewhere noticable (automatically I think....which one would match my normal decor). Reason being...the true meaning of Christmas; which is Jesus coming to this earth for all the wonderful things he has in store for is... is just begininning. This ornament should pose as a reminder of His humility, grace, love, patience, understanding, and victory. All these things I have asked Jesus for more of this 2009 year. Yes, the Christmas season is done and over with, but that baby that sits with my nativity set (on my piano) should be a constant reminder of why he came. Can you guess? That's what I'll leave out for the rest of the year.

So, as I type this and sip on my FAVORITE soup (Mexican Style Chicken Tortilla - Healthy Select).......Which Christmas decor will you leave out for the remaining of this year? What will remind you of the TRUE meaning of Christmas?
